Copyright for Researchers In-Person

This Workshop targets HDR Students and Research Staff and amonst other things, will explain:

  • what copyright is, and when you need to seek permissions to use work created by others in your thesis or in a publication
  • the permissions that you will need to obtain from the publisher to include articles in a PhD by Publication
  • the concepts of Fair Dealing, Moral Rights and Public Domain
  • how to interpret Publisher Agreements
  • how Creative Commons licences work

Please bring along examples of any copyright issues you may be facing. 

Individual appointments are available immediately after the Workshop.
