This Workshop targets HDR Students and Research Staff and amonst other things, will explain:

what copyright is, and when you need to seek permissions to use work created by others in your thesis or in a publication
the permissions that you will need to obtain from the publisher to include articles in a PhD by Publication
the concepts of Fair Dealing, Moral Rights and Public Domain
how to interpret Publisher Agreements
how Creative Commons licences work

Please bring along examples of any copyright issues you may be facing.
