Mendeley for research In-Person
Mendeley is an alternative bibliographic sofware tool to EndNote. It is available via Elsevier so links to Scopus (and Science Direct) and allows individuals to join the Mendeley Academic Collaboration Network.
Features include:
- use of a desktop and cloud based version
- ability to search scholarly literature within Mendeley
- create your own personal publications profile for tracking citations/almetrics
- create, join and manage groups in chosen subject areas
- discover key articles in your research area
This session will be an introduction to Mendeley and focus will be on creating an account and adding references. We will also look at how it integrates with Word and the use of Mendeley tools from within Scopus.
Please note: You will need to bring your own laptop with Mendeley installed as we cannot run EndNote and Mendeley on the same computer
